My flight home was...well. Less than great, although Honie and I talked pretty much the whole way home. Which was 9 hours into Atlanta. And as far as typical loud American places to fly into, that was it. People were shouting at us and we had to abandon our bags and it took about an hour and a half to get through customs. But it was no big deal. My parents actually surprised me by picking me up there in Atlanta instead of in Chicago, but they didn't tell me that before I got in, so I actually almost missed them and flew to Chicago anyway, but things ended up working out.
Mike and Jill drove down from Bloomington to meet me when I got home, so we talked for a couple hours and then they drove home, but it was definitely great to see them when I got here. Jill's spending the week with me at home, 'cause her boss let her off work since I just got home, and we're going out for mexican and margaritas tomorrow.
(I'm watching Shrek 2, and the giant gingerbread man...his name is Mungo)
(And yes, Ho-diz, I like the parentheticals as well)
Oh. I went to Nicky's birthday yesterday, and I ended up getting him this little electronic drumset. It was perfect, although I this his parents are going to kill me.
Momma's getting surgery done today, so keep her (and all of us) in your thoughts today. It's nothing serious, but it's still kinda scary.
Love and miss you all. Congrats on the puppy, Howie! Enjoy these next couple days, everyone. Oh, and I know that Taylor, Casey, Honie, and I were all up insanely early today...is everyone getting that?
